The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced operational manager with a background in Registry Services to motivate and lead a team in delivering a high performing, customer focused service to staff and students.
The Deputy Head of Student Systems and Records will lead the operational management of the Student Records and Systems teams, ensuring a high-quality service under Academic Registry. This role oversees the quality of data and processes across the Student Record system (SITS) and associated platforms.
You will have line management responsibility for the Data Quality and Returns, Immigration Compliance, and Student Systems and Records Support technical teams. The role will involve regular monitoring and review of a range of ‘business as usual’ registry processes, with a focus on improving efficiency through the development of new ways of working and ongoing process and system enhancements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring significant experience of managing operational teams within Higher Education, along with a strong working knowledge of student records systems and regulatory compliance, including UKVI reporting requirements.
You will be process-driven, with a clear interest in service improvement and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience working within a regulatory and compliance-focused environment in Higher Education is key, as is the ability to support and guide specialist teams in these areas.
