We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Post- Doctoral Research Associate position in coronary imaging AI within the Department of Radiology, an internationally renowned imaging research team.

You will play a key role in the GUIDE-IT project, a global initiative led by our department in collaboration with international partners. This project brings together clinical and data scientists to develop a comprehensive data-sharing platform for randomised medical imaging trials. It will improve access to imaging data, generate clinical insights, and support the development of AI-based and quantitative imaging tools. You will work with scientists, clinicians, and industry partners using cutting-edge imaging technologies to advance AI-driven characterisation and prognosis of cardiovascular and cardiothoracic diseases.

You will also contribute to internationally significant randomised imaging trials led by our team, such as CAD-Man and DISCHARGE, which have produced high-impact publications (e.g. BMJ, New England Journal of Medicine) and influenced international guidelines. You will support existing and new multicentre trials aimed at improving the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions.

Applicants should hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as Medicine, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. Those who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award are also encouraged to apply. You should have some research experience, a growing publication record, and a strong background in software development and data analysis, ideally including experience with image analysis software and quality assurance. Strong communication, teaching skills, and the ability to supervise research students are also expected.
