Join Our Amazing Team at Cambridge Economics!

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Cambridge has been at the heart of economic thinking in Europe for generations, and we're looking for someone special to join our close-knit team of around 100 staff members. We're not just colleagues here - we're a community of passionate people who genuinely care about what we do and support each other every step of the way.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

Great perks that actually matter:

  • Competitive salary that recognizes your worth
  • A generous 36 days of annual leave
  • Fantastic benefits including discounts on shopping, healthcare, financial services, and public transport
  • The prestige and opportunities that come with being part of world-renowned Cambridge University

We care about your wellbeing: Our Cambridge Works programme isn't just corporate speak - we genuinely want you to thrive both at work and at home. We've embraced flexible hybrid working, and we balance in-person collaboration in the Faculty with productive remote working time.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be the friendly face behind our academic support team! Working alongside two other fantastic assistants, you'll help keep our faculty running smoothly and support our brilliant academic staff. Think of yourself as the person who makes everything work seamlessly behind the scenes - from coordinating projects to solving the daily puzzles that keep an academic department going.

No two days will be exactly the same, and that's what makes it exciting! You'll work flexibly across different areas, jumping in wherever your skills are needed most.

Are You Our Perfect Match?

If you look at the job description and don't fit perfectly, we will train you. We are looking for someone with a positive outlook and a 'can do' attitude and is eager and willing to learn.

If you:

  • Have some office experience under your belt or are willing to learn (office experience is a lovely bonus, but by no means essential as we will train you)
  • Feel comfortable with MS Office and similar software
  • Enjoy communicating with people and can write a clear, friendly email
  • Thrive on variety and can roll with the changes when priorities shift
  • Genuinely want to be part of something bigger than themselves

We can't wait to hear from you!
