We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager within our Faculty Operating Service which supports the research and estates activities undertaken in the School of Biological Sciences on the Highfield Campus. This School has been earmarked for significant growth over the next 5 years in terms of student numbers, research and enterprise activities. The School of Biological Sciences is one of the five Schools in the Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences; the other Schools in the Faculty are Geography and Environmental Science, Health Sciences, Psychology and Ocean and Earth Science.
About you
You will have excellent technical and communication skills, with the ability to manage your own workload. You will be a positive and proactive problem solver with the ability to manage a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance at the same time to ensure that work is delivered on time and to a high standard. You will be a strong team player, but also be self-sufficient and able to work independently.
