About Us

Spanning the historic streets of the "city of dreaming spires," the University of Oxford has been ranked the world’s top university for nine consecutive years. A unique blend of tradition and innovation, Oxford offers an inspiring environment to shape the future. You’ll contribute to world-leading research and join a diverse, inclusive community that supports your wellbeing, development, and ambitions. Become part of our extraordinary legacy.

The Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) within Estates Services maintains and repairs the University’s diverse estate. Our skilled, multidisciplinary team ensures smooth operation of everything from historic listed buildings to state-of-the-art facilities like the Life and Mind Building and the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities — key projects shaping the future of science, culture, and education.

About the Role

As a Property Maintenance Engineer specialising in carpentry and building fabric, you’ll carry out varied maintenance and repair tasks — from fault-finding to fire door servicing — helping preserve historic assets and maintain modern buildings.
