We are seeking to appoint an individual who is committed to delivering excellence in global mental health research and workforce capacity building. This exciting new post has been created to help the University of Glasgow extend its excellent reputation as a place to learn how to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of all people. The post is linked to the Glasgow Initiative for Global mental health And Treatment Innovation Collaborations (GIGANTIC) – a highly novel approach to providing research and training that is relevant to solving real world challenges in the understanding and treatment of mental ill health and suffering. The post sits within the School of Health and Wellbeing, a vibrant multi-disciplinary research-intensive group at the University of Glasgow. To continue to expand the diversity of views and experiences represented in our team we strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups.  

This full time Senior Lecturer role is available on the Research and Teaching (R&T) career path and applicants need to provide evidence of REF-returnable publications. 

We are seeking candidates who have a track record in global mental health research and the training of applied mental health practitioners. Applicants should have a relevant post-graduate qualification in psychology (e.g. DClinPsy or PhD) and will be already Chartered or eligible for Chartered Psychologist status. 

A market supplement may be added for eligible candidates such as Clinical Psychologists moving from AfC pay scales in the NHS with appropriate experience.
