Reporting to the Professor Linda Mulcahy, the postholder will provide research support involving the collection and analysis of data which will support the production of scholarly and other research outputs. The post holder will be a member of the Access to Justice research cluster at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies. 

The main tasks will be to extract data from a large number of law centre reports which are available in electronic format. and to make use of Lexis/Nexis and Westlaw to compile a database test cases brought by law centres over a fifty year period. Other research support may also be required as is feasible within the time frame.
 
The postholder will hold a first degree in law together with some relevant experience of collecting and analysing data; working toward a doctorate in a specialist discipline; possess sufficient specialist knowledge to be able to use legal databases; ability to manage own research and administrative activities. Experience of contributing to research publications, working in a research team and contributing new ideas for research projects is desirable.  
 
This post is part-time, 0.5 FTE, and fixed term for 3 months. The postholder will be based at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, Manor Road, Manor Road Building, OX1 3UQ and will be required to be in the office for a minimum of 3 days a week during term time and when not undertaking fieldwork activities
