As part of our programme to transform Oxford’s digital communications we are developing a brand new intranet. To support this we are creating a new intranet team to help onboard and support users and content creators. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intranet Officer (content) to join us on a Fixed-Term basis until July 2027.

About the Role

  • This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the way our staff and students currently use digital communication platforms throughout their day.
  • We are looking for someone to join our team who can support users with onboarding and maintaining their sites as part of our new OxIntranet platform, built on SharePoint Online. 
  • Typically the role will involve providing consultation on publishing and content creation while supporting usability aspects of their intranet sites. The role requires someone who is capable of being the contact point for end users while working alongside the intranet technical support team to ensure smooth onboarding and day to day running of our new OxIntranet. 

About You

  • Supporting content owners and advising on how to create, maintain and publish content.
  • Manage and respond to queries via various channels.
  • Support user onboarding
  • Support training and education requirements
  • Maintain governance procedures
  • Support engagement and adoption of the new platform  
  • Working with the technical team to ensure a consistent support process
