An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant to contribute to clinical research projects focused on improving the understanding and management of osteoporotic vertebral fracture in individuals with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and enhancing bone density scanning for non-ambulant patients with DMD and other neuromuscular conditions.
The successful candidate will report to Dr. Jarod Wong and work closely with other researchers in the team to support the coordination of a multi-centre retrospective study on vertebral fracture in DMD and contribute to ongoing research efforts aimed to improve DXA scanning in non-ambulant individuals with a neuromuscular condition in a mixed model study.
The postholder will also have an opportunity to engage in predictive modelling and/or qualitative research, such as interviews and focus groups, depending on their expertise and interests.
In addition, you will be expected to contribute to the preparation of research publications and funding proposals, as to assist in managing and directing this complex and challenging project with the wider research team.
