The role of the Study Coordinator (Recall Team) is to ensure the efficient and smooth running of volunteer recall into research studies facilitated by the NIHR BioResource. The post holder will provide administrative and coordination support for the preparation and delivery of projects within the Recall team.

You will need to be well organised and an excellent communicator, as well as being highly competent using Microsoft Office to succeed in this role.

About the job:

The post holder will be responsible for liaising with various stakeholders (lead researchers/ principal investigators/ clinicians/ collaborators/ research study personnel), and recruiting teams at approved sites, efficiently and in a timely manner to facilitate the set-up of projects and responding to standard queries.

This post-holder will work closely with (and be responsible to) the Senior Study Coordinator to ensure that all NIHR BioResource activities are undertaken in accordance with the requirements of EU and UK Statutory requirements and principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

About you:

Ideally you will:

  • Be educated to degree level or have equivalent qualifications or have experience relevant to the post.
  • Have experience with study/clinical trial documents, including protocols and other REC-approved documents.
  • Have solid IT skills, to be able to learn bespoke databases for data entry and data integrity checking.
  • Have excellent planning, organisational and attention to detail skills.
  • Have experience in an administrative role; document control; user of Microsoft Office.

The post is available on a fixed-term basis for one year or until the return of the postholder, whichever is the soonest. NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) on a 5-year funding cycle.

Our offices are on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus CB2 0QQ (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre).

This appointment requires a Research Passport application.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 1 years or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
