Based within the Mechanical Services team, the Mechanical Assistant provides reactive and planned maintenance support, including statutory testing and basic repairs, to mechanical systems. The role also assists the Mechanical Services team in the execution of their duties as required; and completes lower skilled, repetitive tasks and support for other technicians to resolve job requests, including transporting materials and equipment and meeting contractors.
About You
You will hold proven previous practical experience of working within the mechanical/building services industry and/or: City & Guilds NVQ II or equivalent in a relevant subject. You will possess an awareness of mechanical operations and systems, e.g. heating/ventilation systems and a good understanding of job specific and general health and safety in the workplace, including risk assessments and method statements.
You’ll have experience of planned preventative maintenance systems, the ability to work as member of a team, effective oral communication and customer service skills, proven ability to resolve simple problems and use own initiative.
You will hold a full, clean UK or EU equivalent driving licence.
