The University of Westminster is a global University set in the heart of London offering an inspiring portfolio for our 23,000 students. Our three distinctive Colleges: Westminster Business School; Liberal Arts and Sciences; and Design, Creative & Digital Industries prepare our graduates to make a real difference in the world as global citizens and agenda shapers.
We have a wonderful opportunity for a seasoned communications professional to join us and lead our high-performing corporate communications, public relations and public affairs team. You will play a key role in shaping the communications culture and external perception of our University in line with our vision and strategic goals.
Communicating our inspirational Being Westminster story to key audiences, you will develop the reputation of the University of Westminster as a welcoming, globally connected and diverse place to study, providing our students and colleagues with the opportunity to reach their full potential and celebrating our world-changing research outcomes and impact.
Through media engagement, public affairs and internal communications, you will reach our audiences in ways that resonate with them. Alongside developing compelling narratives, you will bring significant professional experience of leading on issues management for a major organisation, with skilled negotiating skills and a cool-headed approach, enabling you to handle even the thorniest issues with calmness whilst inspiring confidence in stakeholders at all levels.
Our campuses are set in vibrant locations, and our offices are a short distance from Oxford Circus, so it’s a great place to be, and there’s an opportunity for hybrid working too.
If you are looking to join a university whose values are progressive, compassionate and responsible with wellbeing as a top priority; if you have oodles of experience in PR, PA and Internal Comms; and if you’d like to join a diverse and inclusive community, we’d love to hear from you.
