The Department of Biochemistry is seeking an organised and proactive HR & Visitors Administrator to join its evolving HR team from September 2025. You will play a key role in supporting the department’s HR function by overseeing the administration of visitor processes, casual appointments, and HR record retention, and providing administrative support to a variety of other HR activities, helping to deliver efficient, accurate, and people-focused services across the employee lifecycle.

This post is full time, although part time at 80% may be considered.
About you
You should have a GCSE equivalent education or higher, with proven experience in providing high-quality administrative support, including record maintenance, meeting arrangements, and team operations. You excel in fast-paced environments, effectively prioritising tasks, managing deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders, both in writing and orally. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) is required. Your collaborative nature helps you build positive relationships and support colleagues. Awareness of data protection and information security, along with a commitment to delivering responsive and professional service, is important.
