We have an exciting opportunity for two Research Administrators to join the University’s Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Service (RIKE).
The Research Administrator will work closely with the research funding team and across the Service to provide comprehensive and co-ordinated high-level support for various research and innovation projects.
The role will provide support to RIKE, ensuring that an efficient service to both internal and external customers is maintained and support the delivery of projects and initiatives, ensuring all approvals are made in line with the University’s policies and procedures. It will also include being the first point of contact for queries on projects and undertaking an initial assessment of applications, where applicable.
As our Research Administrator, you will have experience of working with financial software and databases, as well as experience dealing with confidential information and being able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail. You will hold five GCSEs at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, including Maths and English, or equivalent/higher qualifications and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills and awareness of the key challenges in the higher education sector relating to research activities are also essential.
