If you are seeking an academic career in an inspiring Department of Politics and Public Administration that delivers excellent research, teaching, and societal impact, then the new Assistant Professor position in our department should be of interest to you. The Department has an international and cosmopolitan orientation, with a research profile spanning the broad range of the discipline of political science, including Irish and European politics, public administration, comparative politics, political theory, international relations and international political economy. Collegial in spirit and pluralist in outlook, faculty members produce cutting-edge and high-impact research using quantitative, qualitative, critical and normative methodologies and approaches. Our research leadership is strongly reflected in the quality of our publication and citation records, our sustained successes in securing international and national competitive grant funding, and the societal impact of our community research and teaching. We are looking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Politics to join our team. Candidates should have a PhD as well as research and teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: Irish Politics, EU Politics, International Relations, Political Theory.
