About the role
We are looking for a part-time Course Assistant to work in our Graduate Studies team. You will be based in the John Radcliffe Hospital but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager. We would usually expect that hours will be worked across three days, which must include Fridays, but flexibility can be considered.
As part of the core administrative team of the department, you will provide high quality administrative support to ensure smooth running of Master’s courses in the department. You will work together with the Graduate Studies Manager and will primarily be responsible for a part-time, distance learning MSc in Integrated Immunology. The course launched in the 2024-25 academic year, and is closely linked to our well-established full-time MSc in Integrated Immunology based in Oxford.
This is a part-time, permanent post and is available immediately.
About you
The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience, preferably in higher education, with an interest in this area. You will be highly organised, computer literate, and be able to deal with competing deadlines. You should be comfortable communicating clearly with students, have a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues across the University, and be able to respond flexibly to the demands of the post. Experience of using Panopto, Canvas, Microsoft Teams and eVision, or similar software, would be desirable, as these tools will be utilised on a frequent basis in this role.
