About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of CEL’s Digital and Data Services that support our teacher and leadership development programmes delivered under contract to the DfE to over 35,000 education professionals each year in partnership with over 30 regional Delivery Partners.
You will lead the management of all professional participant data within CEL. This will include overseeing Delivery Partner service delivery and developing new requirements and service specifications.
Leading a team of around 4 that includes data, digital and marketing specialists and short-term IT contractors, you will ensure that our data and digital systems enable us to efficiently deliver services to participants and providers that meet UCL and DfE requirements. You will be responsible for managing (and recruiting) your team to deliver a high-quality service to participants, facilitators and partners working closely with CEL Programme Leaders, the Strategic Operations Manager and professional colleagues from across the delivery network.

About you
You will have a first degree or equivalent professional experience and proven experience of successfully leading a team of technical and/or operational professionals — including line management, setting clear goals, supporting professional development, and enabling the team to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with organisational priorities.
You will also have experience of leading large-scale and/or complex IT or digital projects, with a strong awareness of the associated challenges, such as system integration, stakeholder coordination, data governance, and change management.
