The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lecturer in Fashion Marketing to join the BA Fashion Marketing course at London College of Fashion (LCF).
As part of the Marketing & Branding Programme, the BA Fashion Marketing course equips students with an understanding of fundamental marketing theory within the context of the fashion industry. The course engages students in industry projects, developing creative marketing strategies, and determining consumer needs.
Based at the Fashion Business School, you will contribute to the delivery and development of teaching and scholarly activity on the course, with a specific focus on fashion marketing theory and practice, fashion branding, consumer insights, campaign development, and sustainable business practices. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues in the course team, applying specialist marketing knowledge to develop pedagogy and advance the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.
In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will also provide pastoral support for a year group of undergraduate students. This will include monitoring progress and attendance, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with colleagues as appropriate. You will also supervise individual students during their final major projects.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop and deliver teaching that encourages critical engagement and challenges the canonical perspectives of the field, with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusivity.
About You
We are looking for a skilled academic practitioner with an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area.
You will also need previous teaching and assessment experience in Higher Education or an equivalent context.
You should bring strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills to the role, along with the ability to apply creative and inclusive approaches to teaching, learning and professional practice.
