IES is home to some of King’s most innovative and impact-driven programming including Sanctuary, the Afe Babalola Centre for Transnational Education, King’s Volunteering, One King’s Impact, among others, as well as our civic and place-based engagement in London, and across the world.

About the role:

The Partnerships Manager Americas & South Asia role sits within the Global Engagement team in the IES directorate and is responsible for the management of key relationships in the regions, supporting all King’s faculties in their engagement, both in education and research, in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, and South Asia (mainly India and Pakistan). They are responsible for the development and management of a series of essential strategic projects and partnerships which will contribute to King’s International Strategy. 

The role supports King’s engagement by leading or contributing to strategic initiatives related to the Americas and South Asia, and by developing and providing country-specific information to colleagues, including senior management. The postholder has a key role in the building of a versatile, high-quality partnerships & international programmes portfolio at King’s College London; the postholder will project-manage the development of new collaborative programmes internally with faculty and with overseas partners. S/he will be a proactive contributor to the design of academic programmes, including service-focussed ones.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

About you:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: 

Essential criteria

  1. First degree or demonstrable equivalent experience
  2. Proven experience in the development of academic international partnerships
  3. Experience and expertise on the Americas and South Asia higher education environment
  4. Proven experience in project management and preparation of briefings and international delegations
  5. Experience with data collection, analysis and dashboards
  6. Proven experience managing internal and external stakeholders
  7. Good strategic thinking and excellent attention to detail

Desirable criteria

  1. Experience in developing international collaborative education programmes and other forms of TNE
  2. Fluency in a second language, for example Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Urdu or Tamil
  3. Experience organising high-profile events involving senior stakeholders
  4. Experience in line-management
