About the role

We are seeking a proactive individual to join our busy and friendly Innovation and Business Partnerships team as a Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) Manager to drive the ambitious KTP growth plans of the University.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the management of the University’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) portfolio. Your focus will be on working in partnership with University and non-academic partners to develop, write and submit high-quality KTP applications, as well as overseeing the successful delivery of funded projects. You will provide expert guidance across the University, supporting academic and industry partners to navigate the KTP process and maximise the value of their collaborations.

You’ll play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, recommending enhancements, and implementing best practices to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of our KTP operations.

About you

Educated to graduate level or with equivalent experience gained in an HE or bid writing setting you should possess strong project management and organisational skills. A clear communicator in writing and in person, you are able to explain complex ideas in an accessible way.

You relish the opportunity to make the role your own with the support of a team of professional and friendly colleagues for support. You are confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships. Your IT skills are proficient, and you’re comfortable managing your own workload efficiently.
