About Chester Law School
The Chester Law School was established in 2005 and delivers a successful range of undergraduate (LLB (Hons) programmes, of which the LLB (Hons) (Single Honours) is the largest. The school is developing its curriculum to meet the changing needs for legal qualification. The Law School has about 350 students in total per year. The Chester Law School has a growing research community with interest areas in Social and Criminal Justice, Equality and Diversity, Private and Public International Law, Social Welfare Law including Legal History, Family Law and Education Law and Sports Law, Medical Law and Legal Education. We are keen to both consolidate and extend our research portfolio.
The School’s nationally acclaimed Pro Bono activity includes the Chester Community Law Project, giving students the opportunity to provide guidance on legal matters affecting, e.g. schools, housing, benefits and the elderly, alongside the University of Chester Legal Advice Clinic
