Applications are invited for an Academic Quality Office (AQO) Senior Policy Officer (1.0 FTE) in the Academic Quality Team at the Glasgow School of Art.
Reporting to the Head of Academic Quality, the role holder will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of the oversight, management and operational delivery of GSA’s quality assurance and enhancement processes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a small team within the wider AQO, the role holder will be required to build effective working relationships with senior leaders, academics, managers, and professional services colleagues across the full range of schools and departments at GSA. The post holder will also occasionally work with external agencies and partners (such as QAA, SFC and the University of Glasgow), to ensure the maintenance and enhancement of our quality and academic standards. The role holder will have substantial experience of all aspect of academic committee management and support.
The post holder will have excellent writing and communication skills, a flexible approach to working, and be able to demonstrate good judgment when handling sensitive information. With a strong commitment to teamwork and working flexibly, the postholder will demonstrate a collegial, positive attitude and will actively contribute to delivery of AQO team priorities, supporting the Head of Academic Quality to deliver the team’s annual work programme and development projects, as GSA works on its preparations for its next Tertiary Quality Enhancement Review.
