The School of Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Pharmacology. This is a permanent research and education role.
The School of Life Sciences is expanding its research and teaching portfolio in the field of pharmacology. This role will support this expansion and build on our existing strengths in microbiology, bioengineering, biochemistry, structural biology, and the growing success of the Keele Centre for Glycosciences. The development of our pharmacology research and teaching activities will be further supported by collaborations with colleagues in the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences, as well as cross-faculty collaborations with the Keele School of Medicine, School of Allied Health and Pharmacy, and the Harper & Keele Veterinary School.
We are looking for a scientist with a background in pharmaceutical research, combined with a genuine love for knowledge discovery, capacity for innovation, and strong collaborative ethic. The successful candidate will have the potential to develop an internationally competitive research programme which will attract external funding and generate impact in the field of pharmacology. In addition, the successful candidate will work with our Teaching Teams to develop the BSc/MSci/MSc programmes in Pharmacology. In order to achieve this, you will be able to incorporate your knowledge and experience of pharmacology into exciting learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
You will have a Ph.D. in a pharmacology-related field and a track record of professional achievement. We welcome applications from candidates with academic or industry backgrounds.
