Applications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. If you’re someone that loves working with people, being involved with events, and being creative in finding new and exciting ways to engage with clients, then you could be great fit for this role.

We’re looking for a Memberships & Events Assistant – Business Administrator Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive team. We’re also looking for someone who is keen to develop and progress within our team, as this role offers automatic progression into a more senior role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, subject to meeting development goals set at the beginning of the apprenticeship. You will need to be eligible for an apprenticeship to be considered for this role (see below for more details).

This is a very varied role and offers something different every day. You’ll be part of the team supporting our varied events calendar attracting a range of audiences, exploring new ways to engage with current clients and getting creative with the activities we run for them. You’ll also work closely delivering an exceptional experience to all of our clients and customers, and to help grow our memberships.

As an apprentice, you will be supported in developing your confidence and skills for the role by the Projects & Engagements Team Manager and experienced colleagues within the team. You will be enrolled on the Business Administrator Apprenticeship (Level 3 standard) provided by HIT Training and run over 8-12 months. During this time, you will attend online, self-directed classes, meet with an apprenticeship tutor monthly, and will generate a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate the practical skills you have acquired during your apprenticeship.

Whilst this role is primarily based at our Greenlands campus in Henley-on-Thames, we also enjoy a flexible split between office and home working, taking advantage of the best that both worlds have to offer. Having your own car/means of transport would be an advantage.

This is a fixed term role (2yrs) with extension dependent upon progression through the apprenticeship; upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, this role will become eligible for progression from this role to the Memberships & Events Administrator (Grade 4) which is a permanent role.

As part of your application you will complete Maths and English diagnostic assessments and provide any other information required for the training provider to ensure you meet the entry criteria and confirm you are eligible for the apprenticeship. Please see the attached ‘Eligibility criteria for apprenticeships’ to check if you are eligible for the apprenticeship. Applicants should complete the application form including their supporting statement in their own words.
