The opportunity
If you offer experience of events management and want to develop yourself further in a fast-paced, creative environment, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting the delivery of events at Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Colleges.
Your key responsibilities will include the operational delivery of events, such as open days for the colleges and showcases for the next generation of art and design talent.
You will liaise with event leads and manage a student delivery team and will need to identify the roles needed for event delivery and recruit and train a pool of students who can be deployed as needed, working closely with Arts Temps (UAL’s recruitment agency).
You will work alongside the students, providing a high level of on the ground event support as needed and devise and coordinate a training programme which supports students and gives them the skills to successfully and competently carry out event delivery roles.
About You
You will need experience of events management and delivery (operations and production), ideally in a cultural or Higher Education setting, with evidence of project management experience and an understanding of the irregular hours and onsite nature of this work.
Experience of managing a team is equally important and you will need to be able to maintain positive relationships with students and event leads to deliver excellent customer service to event attendees.
You will also be able to use your initiative and creativity to resolve day-to-day problems regarding event production and delivery.
