Lecturer Sport Coaching

University of the West of Scotland – School of Health & Life Sciences

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Sport Coaching academic who will deliver across our undergraduate portfolio, including BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching, BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science, BSc (Hons) Sport Development and BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching and Development. You will join a dedicated team who strive to continuously inspire our students and wider University community – and, through modern teaching and impactful research, continue to deliver innovative solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges. 

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Relevant postgraduate/PhD qualification
  • Experience of learning, teaching and assessment within Higher Education
  • Appropriate evidence of professional practice and external engagement which is clearly in line with the School’s priority areas for the future (e.g. external engagement in terms of research, knowledge exchange, or engagement with professional bodies or other external organizations)
  • Have experience of delivering and ideally developing modules across a broad area of Sport Coaching.
  • Experience of flexible delivery and successful deployment of learning strategies including the use of authentic/real-world assessment approaches
  • Commitment to the delivering of high quality teaching and supporting an outstanding student experience.
