We're looking for a creative and hands-on designer or engineer to join the Plasticity Lab, a world-leading neuroscience research team investigating how we can use technology to increase hand functionality in able and disabled individuals of all ages. You'll work alongside Dani Clode, creator of the Third Thumb, contributing to the development of custom research tools including wearable robotic devices, vibrotactile stimulators, and MRI-compatible hardware.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team at the forefront of human augmentation research. You'll be involved in everything from 3D modelling and prototyping to experimental design, and lab support. Ideal candidates will have experience in mechanical design, rapid prototyping, and a strong interest in working with and understanding the human body. They should also have excellent organisational and multitasking proven abilities.
