The role is offered on a permanent contract and is available on a part-time (0.8 FTE) basis.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role
The External Engagement and Global directorate are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Events Coordinator to join the Corporate Events Team.
The team deliver over 100 corporate facing events each year ranging from dinners, receptions, garden parties, research conferences, networking and profile-raising events, building and institute launches, VIP and ministerial visits.
The Corporate Events Team have several shared mailboxes; the role holder will take partial responsibility for monitoring these mailboxes and escalating any queries that they might not be able to resolve.
The role will involve arranging travel and accommodation for VIP guests, and assisting with the administrative requirements of visit schedules, including preparation and distribution of event briefings to VIP guests and senior colleagues attending events.
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident and polite individual, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, who is able to work both as part of a team but also independently, being able to meet deadlines and manage your workload with minimal guidance. You will be passionate about slick organisation and creating professional events, creating the perfect invitation letter and ensuring no detail is overlooked.
The post is based on Streatham Campus, Exeter (hybrid working), occasional travel to other campuses and locations may be required. Most events take place on campus, although some are held in London and the wider region.
