The Department
Library Services is at the heart of the student and academic experience at the University of West London, facilitating creation of knowledge and ideas and developing confident, critically information-literate professionals. We place particular value on supporting our institutional mission of extending higher education to those traditionally excluded from it, and in facilitating research and scholarship in ways that connect with equity and widening participation.
The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Librarian who will support our acquisitions and collection management processes for our print and electronic resources. This includes cataloguing and ensuring reliable access to electronic resources.
The role is based within our Assistant Librarians team and is full time and permanent.
The Person
Applicants will be highly computer literate with previous library experience in acquisitions or subscriptions. They will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision. They will have excellent communication skills. An ability to maintain high quality and accurate financial and catalogue records and work to tight deadlines is essential.
