We are looking for an individual to help us train a new generation of highly skilled veterinary professionals who are passionate about animal welfare.
The new School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Lancashire is an international, research-active institution, the first facility of its kind to open in the county. You will be joining a talented team who are leading the way in modern learning today, committed to widening access and participation in veterinary education. The School is developing further research activities and postgraduate teaching opportunities, along with bespoke teaching and research environments. Collaboration with internal and external research networks is encouraged.
You will be required to organise, undertake and examine teaching in applied veterinary anatomy and physiology to undergraduate students of Veterinary Medicine and Bioveterinary Sciences. There will be scope and expectation to bring forward energy and innovation in teaching practice, as well as developing academic strengths.
About you:
You will have an enthusiasm for developing high quality, innovative educational experiences, and ideally will also have a Veterinary degree, anatomy degree, physiology degree biomedical degree (or equivalent in a relevant subject) together with experience of veterinary or medical education, teaching and/or assessment.
You will have detailed knowledge of systems physiology and anatomy across the domestic species alongside an understanding of ethical animal use and the integration of alternatives to animal use including digital and non-animal resources.
