In this role, you'll deliver dynamic Associate Lecturer in Computing focused teaching both in person, empowering students to thrive academically and professionally.

You will deliver and support modules in the Computing related disciplines some of these are as follows:

  • Advanced Programming
  • Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Agile Programming
  • Applied Machine Learning
  • Computer Graphics
  • Web Design and Programming
  • Cloud Technologies
  • Advanced Databases and Big Data
  • Introduction to AI
  • Natural Language Processing
  • DevOps
  • Data Analysis and Visualisation
  • InfoSec

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops aligned to module specifications
  • Updating and maintaining engaging digital learning content via VLE and MS Teams
  • Supporting student assessment and providing timely, constructive feedback
  • Advising students on academic and pastoral matters, referring where appropriate
  • Participating in moderation, standardisation, and academic quality assurance
  • Contributing to curriculum development and enhancement of the student experience

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • A Master’s degree in Computing or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience teaching Computing topics in a higher education setting
  • Excellent communication and digital teaching skills
  • Ability to develop innovative learning materials and manage hybrid delivery
  • Commitment to inclusivity and student centred learning

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one
  • PhD in Computing and Social Care or equivalent industry experience
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (or eligibility)
  • Experience with Computing research, enterprise activity, or professional networks

Working Hours & Flexibility

  • Schedule may include daytime, evenings and weekends hours around your availability
