Course Leader in Sport

The Role

We’re seeking a Course Leader in Sport. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of sport subject areas, leading curriculum delivery, and ensuring an outstanding learning experience that blends academic rigour with real world application.As a key academic leader, you will manage a team of lecturers, support curriculum innovation, and work closely with industry and sport sector partners to ensure our content remains cutting-edge and career focused. You’ll also contribute directly to teaching, assessment, and quality assurance embedding UA92’s unique commitment to character development and social mobility.

What We’re Looking For

• A strong academic and/or professional track record in one or more of the following areas: Sports & Exercise Science and/or Physical Education and/or and Health & Exercise and Sport Experience in curriculum design, delivery, and quality assurance
• Proven ability to lead academic teams and inspire innovations in teaching
• A learner-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to UA92’s mission and values: We Care. We’re Brave & Bold. We’re Inclusive

Desirable:

• Experience of developing or delivering degree apprenticeships or CPD programmes
• Background in engaging with industry and sport, education and/or health sector professionals
• Familiarity with alternative HE pathways and non-traditional student journeys

Interview Process:

1st stage week commencing 28th July 2025: Shortlisted applicants are asked to engage in a 3-5-minute video (MS Teams) remote interview.

2nd stage week commencing 4th August 2025: Successful applicants attend an in-person interview
