Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Medical Education within the UCD School of Medicine’s Medical Education unit. Under the direction of the School’s Director of Clinical Education and Medicine Programmes Director, this new post will contribute to the development of medical education best practice, research and scholarship and support the implementation of our new medicine curriculum (Medicine 2030).
This is a full-time position based at the UCD Health Sciences Centre, Belfield. The appointee will be expected to work on occasion at our clinical education sites in the course of their duties.
Launched in 2023/2024, Medicine 2030 is a comprehensive academic review, the outcome of which will be the implementation of a new curriculum for our undergraduate entry and graduate entry medicine programmes. The new Medicine 2030 curriculum will launch in 2026/2027 academic session. Our programme seeks to prepare, enable and inspire tomorrow’s doctors for excellence in compassionate patient care and for professional fulfilment in the service of patients and the lifelong pursuit of better health for all.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €64,112- €101,524 per annum.
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
