The role

We are looking for 2 experienced and effective administrators to support the Project Manager, Smart Internet Manager and PI for 2 government research projects.

REASON is led by the University of Bristol, developing a roadmap for open 6G network architectures, with a focus on Native AI and UK Born technologies, which will set the framework for new developments across the entire technology stack.

JOINER is led by the University of Bristol, alongside three core partners, JOINER connects the research labs of the core partners and extends to include seven other centres of excellence — or nodes. Drawing together research leaders and test networks from across the UK, each bringing their own unique specialisations and capabilities.

Both Projects include Universities, large vendors, Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) & SME’s as key stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide general administrative support – assisting with collating information for project reporting, managing mailing lists, MyERP timesheets, reconciling credit card purchases, booking travel and hotels, and supporting with recruitment and adhoc tasks.
  • Support management team meetings – managing diaries, setting up meetings, minuting and updating actions.
  • Assist with financial tasks - supporting the Project Manager with purchasing items and managing budgets.
  • Provide operational support for the project - working closely with the team to manage the space occupied and assisting with all requirements for new starters. 
  • Lead the management of a shared inbox, maintain related websites, SharePoint sites, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, and e-newsletters. Handle inquiries and communications with project partners and subcontractors.
  • Design and prepare a range of documents and publicity material.
  • Provide planning and operational support for project-related events.
