Research Fellow

A Research Fellow position led by Prof Dan Longley at the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research at Queen's University Belfast to investigate the activity of a novel therapeutic antibody in models of colorectal and other cancers.

About the person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria

• Hold or be about to obtain* a PhD in cancer biology (*must be obtained within 3 months of interview for the post).
• Personal Licence holder.
• Significant, relevant research experience to include:
  • Experience in working with transplant and GEMM models, with demonstrated competencies in SubQ, IP, IV, OG and inhalation techniques.
  • Experience in ex-vivo/post-mortem analyses that include tissue processing/pathology, IHC/IF (single & multiplex), and image analysis.
  • Experience in high parameter flow cytometry tissue profiling and data analysis.
  • Experience in a range of molecular and cellular biology techniques (such as PCR, Western blot, ELISA).
