The Role
We are seeking a highly motived, enthusiastic, experienced clinical educator to join the MSc in Physician Associate Studies Programme team.
As Clinical Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical content of teaching, resources, and assessments of MSc in Physician Associate Studies curriculum. You will contribute to all aspects of the programme including teaching delivery and planning, curriculum development, student experience and recruitment.
Accountable to the Board of Studies and the Degree Programme Director you will work closely with the core programme team and the wider team of clinical educators in the region.
The MSc in Physician Associate Studies Programme has been running at Newcastle University since 2016. The programme draws from the extensive academic and clinical expertise in the School of Medicine as well as our clinical educators in primary and secondary care within our region. The core team is a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, physician associates, nurses, and academics.
The programme is committed to developing students who are highly knowledgeable, skilled, clinically competent, and fully prepared to undertake the role of a physician associate.
The MSc in Physician Associate Studies programme is part of the School of Medicine alongside MBBS, Medical Education programmes, Clinical Science programmes and Interventional Nephrology. The school is focussed on the development and delivery of undergraduate and post-graduate taught programmes in Medicine.
