Leading the Community Based Medical Education senior team, the Head of Primary Care Education is a key member of the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE) leadership team.

The post is based at our Whitechapel Campus in London and is part-time (0.6 FTE). The post is a permanent Clinical Professor in Primary Care Education with the Head of Primary Care Education an addendum role for an initial period of 3 years. Further details in the job pack.
About You
You will be ready to step into a role where your clinical insight and educational drive can make a wide-reaching difference. You must hold a medical degree, MRCGP, and have recent GP experience. You will require a proactive awareness of the national agenda for primary care delivery and workforce expansion together will involvement in local leadership initiatives. An excellent understanding of the roles of Higher Education England, the Society of Academic Primary Care and the Royal College of General Practitioners in the innovation and funding of primary care education is essential.

One of six Institutes forming the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, IHSE is responsible for the delivery of the faculty’s medical degree programmes. Together with partner hospitals and primary care practices, we provide an innovative, forward-thinking, and responsive curriculum to our passionate, diverse student body.
