Queen Mary University of London is seeking a strategic International Affairs Manager to play a central role in delivering our ambitious Strategy 2030 and International Enabling Plan. Working at the heart of the University’s international portfolio, you will help drive high-impact global partnerships, support major international initiatives, and strengthen Queen Mary’s position as a world-leading, inclusive university.

About the Role

This is a high-profile, strategic role based within the Office of the Principal, reporting to the Executive Officer (International). You will:

• Lead and support the delivery of strategic international projects.
• Build and manage relationships with international institutions, embassies, policymakers, and global funding bodies.
• Provide strategic intelligence and high-level policy advice to senior leadership.
• Coordinate flagship events and VIP delegations, maximising reputational and partnership outcomes.

About You

We are looking for a proactive, globally-minded professional with:

• Significant experience in international higher education, global partnerships, project management, or policy advisory roles.
• Outstanding organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• The ability to influence and build senior-level relationships across cultures.
• A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to operational delivery.
• A passion for global engagement and commitment to Queen Mary’s values of inclusivity, ambition, collegiality, and ethical practice.
