International Recruitment and Conversion Coordinator

Fixed term: 12 months

The University of West of Scotland have an exciting opportunity for an experienced International Recruitment and Conversion Coordinator to join the International Student Recruitment team on a fixed term basis of 12 months.

Within this role, the successful applicant will work as part of a team whose core responsibility is to support the achievement of the international student enrolment targets of the University’s Corporate Strategy.

Specifically, this involves the recruitment, conversion and admission of suitably qualified international leads and applicants from a range of countries to the University for full-time, fee-paying study at Scottish campuses. The post-holder will ensure an efficient and engaging customer-focused pre-enrolment journey from enquiry to arrival on campus.

This role will have an agreed core geographic remit, with particular focus on MENA and Africa. They will be expected to train in, and where appropriate help to train others in, specialist elements of the roles to ensure maximum flexibility across teams in response to demand at peak times.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Degree from a recognised University
  • Fluent in English
  • International student recruitment experience
  • University working experience in a similar role
  • Understanding and experience of university application and recruitment process to study in the UK through international agency and university partners
  • Understanding and experiencing of UK student visa application process
  • Living experience in the UK
  • CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, or equivalent English language teaching/testing qualification is desirable
