The Oxford Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (OxCIN) is an exciting Centre formed out of the world leading brain imaging centres in Oxford. Research engagement is one of the Centre’s core values and strategic priorities.
The Engagement Coordinator, reporting directly to the Engagement Manager, will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, and supporting research engagement activities at both a practical and strategic level. They will be responsible for inspiring, training and facilitating the Centre’s 300+ researchers and support staff to reach out to key audiences, as we seek to inform them about our work, consult with them over its direction and collaborate with them on exciting new research.
The Coordinator will be supported in this role by a group of enthusiastic Centre researchers who are currently engaging with public audiences, as well as with PPI, public and policy engagement professionals within the Medical Sciences Division and the wider University. They will also have close links with the communications staff in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Department of Psychiatry, and Department of Experimental Psychology.
Alongside the Engagement Manager, Centre Director, and Engagement Steering Group, the post holder will be responsible for overseeing the allocation of dedicated Centre and Departmental resources to PPI, Policy, and engagement projects.
While the Department supports flexible working, certain elements of this role will necessitate working on the occasional weekend and some evening hours.
