About the Role

The Casework and Quality Compliance Manager plays a key part in ensuring the effective implementation of BIMM University’s policies and procedures around student complaints, academic and procedural appeals, and student discipline.

In addition to casework, you'll support the University's regulatory compliance efforts including adherence to Office for Students conditions and CMA consumer law guidance ensuring processes are not only compliant but aligned with best practice and student experience.

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work closely with colleagues across the University, providing expert advice, training, and support on casework and compliance matters. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives and represent the QARC team across the institution.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead on the delivery, implementation, and review of student casework processes, including complaints, appeals, and discipline.
  • Act as a key point of contact for casework and regulatory compliance matters across the University, offering guidance, training, and escalation support where necessary.
  • Liaise with external bodies such as the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA).
  • Develop and maintain robust casework and compliance processes, using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform improvements.
  • Ensure policies and procedures remain current, student-focused, and aligned with internal and sector-wide expectations.
  • Support compliance with the Office for Students regulatory framework and CMA consumer law guidance.
  • Contribute to wider Academic Services and University initiatives and projects.
  • Line manage relevant student casework staff and deputise for the Associate Director as needed.
  • Service University-level committees and contribute to committee reporting

What You’ll Bring:

  • A degree-level qualification
  • Experience managing student casework processes in a higher education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and student protection requirements.
  • Familiarity with Office for Students conditions, CMA guidance, and OIA Good Practice Framework.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, including committee servicing.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • A flexible, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • The ability to analyse and present data to support decision-making.
