Technician 0.4 FTE (Nutrition and Biomechanics)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled Nutrition and Biomechanics Technician to join a team that provides high quality support for Teaching, Research, Enterprise and Outreach within the Faculty of Sport, technology and Applied Sciences.
Applications are particularly welcomed from those able to support teaching and research in a wide range of areas in Nutrition and Biomechanics, including use of relevant equipment and maintenance of relevant teaching labs is essential. Experience in the delivery, supervision and lead of practical experiments and research is also essential.
Reporting to the Faculty’s Technical Services Manager, the post holder will oversee the practical and academic activities within the Faculty’s Nutrition and Biomechanics facilities linked to the provided undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. The post holder will also be expected to help support student and staff research, alongside participating in outreach/recruitment provision and enterprise objectives.
Background: The Faculty of STHS holds a provision of laboratories that support a broad variety of degree programmes, while also committing to recognised outputs in Research, Outreach/Knowledge transfer and Enterprise Activities.
