About us:
The Education Support Team is looking for a Part Time Programme Officer (21 hours per week) to offer high quality administrative support to postgraduate taught programmes within the School of Mental Health and Psychological Sciences (MHaPS) at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience.
About the role:
The Programme Officer provides essential support to students and academics within this school and will work as a member of the wider programme administration team to ensure consistent management and delivery of taught provision. The Programme Officer provides a professional, supportive, responsive and personable service supporting processes across the student lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely record management across multiple systems.
The Programme Officer will interact with a wide range of academic and professional services staff from across the Faculty and the University, ensuring that our stakeholders benefit from our services in a seamless and effective manner. The role reports to the Programme Manager with supervision from the Senior Programme Officer, and will work on a range of tasks including, but not limited to, supporting student and staff enquiries on a daily basis, timetabling, optional module selection, student registration, committee servicing, and attendance & engagement monitoring.
With support to develop a working knowledge of regulations and processes, the Programme Officer will have a keen eye for accuracy and detail. Applicants should have excellent IT skills, and some experience of utilising virtual learning environments and/or student record systems would be advantageous. The position will be expected to support a varied and high-pace workload, demonstrating excellent organisation and flexibility, often across competing priorities in line with core university deadlines and requirements.
Comfortable with working relatively autonomously and flexible to change, this role will suit a motivated individual who is keen to commence or further their career in Higher Education administration.
This is a part time post (21 hours per week) and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
We offer hybrid working with one day at Guy’s and/or Denmark Hill Campus and the rest working from home.
