This new full-time role is immediately available on a permanent basis. The role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role
The University of Exeter is seeking an innovative and strategic marketing and recruitment professional to join our Centre for Online Education in a newly created role of Head of Online Marketing and Recruitment. This exciting role will be at the forefront of driving the reach and success of our growing portfolio of fully online courses. You will play a pivotal role in advancing our global online brand awareness, as well as devising and directing specific marketing and recruitment campaigns for our existing portfolio and new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Dean for Online Education, Executive Director (EEG), Head of Online Operations and other stakeholders to devise and deliver a clear vision for marketing our online portfolio increasing brand awareness in the online space, to establish effective recruitment results.
  • Develop and execute integrated brand marketing campaigns student recruitment strategies.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Centre for Online Education, Faculties, central marketing campaigns team and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and marketing of our online portfolio.
  • Manage marketing and recruitment professionals to bring your strategy to life and drive recruitment to the online portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Market Insight colleagues to join up market potential with effective marketing and recruitment strategies.
  • Establish and track success metrics and KPIs to evaluate campaign and recruitment strategy effectiveness and inform future approaches and improvements.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Optimize the allocated budget for effective return.

About you:
To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in strategic marketing, communications, and recruitment specifically of online educational products, preferably within a higher education or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Expertise in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrable evidence of active student recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset.
