University College Birmingham is looking to appoint an experienced and organised professional to lead the operational delivery of its apprenticeship provision. As Head of Apprenticeships, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance, quality, and performance across all apprenticeship programmes.
Reporting to the FE Principal, you will manage the Centre for Apprenticeships team, oversee audit readiness, funding rule compliance, and data accuracy, and ensure that programmes meet employer and learner needs. You will also support curriculum planning and quality assurance to maintain high standards and positive learner outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing apprenticeships within FE or HE, strong knowledge of ESFA regulations and ILR processes, and excellent people management skills. You’ll be confident working across departments, engaging with employers, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a key role for someone looking to make a real impact on apprenticeship delivery in a supportive and ambitious educational environment.
