The role
The School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies (SPAIS) is seeking to appoint an experienced and committed teacher to the post of Lecturer in Sociology (Pathway 3 teaching-focused, 0.8 FTE, Open Ended with Fixed funding until 31/08/2027).
They will support the delivery of our Sociology programmes and student experience.
We particularly welcome applicants with the ability to teach in the following areas: the Sociology of Childhood and Rights, Sexuality & Society and introductory units in Sociology.
What will you be doing?
The role-holder will contribute to teaching on our UG and PGT Sociology programmes. They will be expected to supervise undergraduate dissertations, undertake personal tutoring, perform a teaching-related administrative role in the School and contribute to SPAIS events and student experience initiatives.
