Full-time Faculty Position in Economics at Assistant/Associate/Full professor levels

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; lead, design and implement curriculum systems aligned with university strategy and student needs.
  2. Participate in teaching project applications; explore innovative pedagogical approaches for courses and blended teaching; editing and updating teaching materials and textbooks; actively adopting digital technology and internationalization of teaching resources.
  3. Provide guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate students throughout their entire learning process.
  4. Conduct high-quality research in relevant fields and publish research outputs in high-quality peer-review international and Chinese journals.
  5. Apply for and secure external research grants.
  6. Attend influential academic conferences; deliver keynote speeches or panel discussions; develop collaborations with other experts in relevant fields.
  7. Contribute to the development of research centres and clusters; mentor junior faculty members. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. A PhD degree in an economics-related field. A degree obtained from outside China must be supported by a verification report issued by the Chinese embassy or consulate in the respective country by August 30, 2025.
  2. Applicants should demonstrate exceptional skills in academic writing, policy analysis and a solid foundation in research. Those with a distinguished track record of high-quality publications are preferred.
  3. Those with experience in leading or participating in large research or consulting projects are preferred.
  4. Experience in teaching and academic publications in both English and Chinese is preferred.
  5. Work experience in a highly ranked (QS or US News) institution is preferred. 

Salary and Benefits:

  1. Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Remuneration for exceptionally outstanding candidates includes a salary of up to 1.5 million yuan before tax and additional benefits subject to negotiation.
  2. Generous housing/relocation allowance will be provided to successful applicants, as well as statutory pension contributions, and medical and other insurances.
  3. Sufficient internal funding support will be provided for research and team building initiatives.
  4. A sector-leading performance-based bonus system to reward research achievements.
