An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate (SRA)/Research Associate (RA) to join Norwich Medical School. Appointment to SRA will depend on demonstration of appropriate experience in applied health economics research. You will contribute to health economic analysis on two projects: CHARMER and IMAB-Qi. These are both large scale NIHR funded programme grants with substantial health economic components.
You will be working closely with an established health economist (David Turner). As a Senior Research Associate/Research Associate you will contribute ideas and/or enhancement of techniques or methodologies. You will analyse and interpret data, write up results and present information on research progress and outcomes to the wider research team.
You will hold a good first degree in economics, a related quantitative subject, or other quantitative subject. You will also hold (or in last year of studies) a postgraduate qualification with substantial health economics components. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret data and experience of working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment. Advanced skills directly relating to health economics and experience of applied heath economics research would be advantageous. For Senior Research Associate, you will also have experience of independent research and have publications in respected journals or equivalent within the field.
This full-time post is available from 1 September 2025 on a fixed term basis for one year.
