Lecturer in Marine and Freshwater Biology (Learning, Teaching & Scholarship Track)

The School of Biodiversity One Health and Veterinary Medicine is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Marine and Freshwater Biologyon the Learning, Teaching and Scholarship track to provide teaching and contribute to assessment in the Animal Biology degrees (Marine and Freshwater Biology, and Zoology), including field-based courses. You will undertake administration and service activities in line with the School/College’s strategic objectives and as appropriate for the job role.

Applications are invited from candidates who hold a Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD) or equivalent professional and/or teaching experience in a similar or related role with a track record of scholarship and/or development and delivery of teaching, and proven ability to develop and devise teaching sessions and/or programmes, techniques and methods.

The School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine is an internationally-facing and fundamentally multidisciplinary research body with a key strength of working on interdisciplinary boundaries. We are unique in the UK in our ability to link research on animal diseases, production and welfare with ecological and evolutionary approaches. Our research addresses multiple biological levels: from research into molecules and cells, to research into individuals, human populations and ecosystems.

This post is full-time and to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months or until the substantive postholder returns.
