This is an exciting opportunity to join the Wong lab and the larger zebrafish community at UCL.
We are an interdisciplinary lab interested in applying advanced microscopy, machine learning based-image analysis and mathematical modelling to understand collective cell behaviours in live organisms.
About the role
The main purpose of this role is to aid projects in the lab.
This role is perfect for bachelor/masters graduate wanting more research experience.
The work tasks will include designing and running experiments, recording, analysing and writing up results. The post-holder will work as part of a team to advance lab projects and in addition contribute to general lab duties such as maintaining stocks and ordering reagents.

This role is an open-ended contract with a funding end date of 31/08/2026 in the first instance.

About you
Candidates must have experience of working in a research laboratory for at least 4 months. Knowledge experience of confocal microscopy essential. Knowledge experience of image analysis essential. Knowledge experience on the zebrafish as a model system is essential. Knowledge of research techniques in particular in: zebrafish transgenesis (microinjections), in situ hybridisation, antibody staining, coding (e.g. Python) and biochemistry (Western blotting and co-immunoprecipitation experiments) are desirable.
